Yes, it is true....we landed a story in Canandaigua Magazine's summer issue, which came out today. We are quite thrilled to be featured on page 32!!! And, of course, I bought several copies -- after all we need to share with friends and family. It's not every day you get to experience something like this, so yes, we are proud! So....check it out if you can! And for all our favorite guests who might not get a chance to see the story, next time you're here, there will be a copy in your room! Well, not here at Bella Rose B&B, but darn close. The biggest concert of the year during the busiest week of the summer is......Tim McGraw! Country singer sensation and a huge draw, he will no doubt put Canandaigua's CMAC on the map again when it comes to concerts -- just like Kenny Chesney did last year. This time, however, it is to benefit the YMCA of Canandaigua's big renovation. How cool is that??? Anyway, the concert is at CMAC ( just a few miles away) on Thursday, July 16, so for all our favorite guests, fans and followers who want to come, book your stay now at Bella Rose....we have no doubt this will be a huge sellout for miles! How exciting!!!

Happy Anniversary to us!

No matter how you count, we are celebrating an anniversary - the start of our third year in business. Well, actually, we officially opened for business in December 2006 so according to that date, we've been in our third season for a few months now. But.......because we didn't host our first guests until Spring of 2007 (yes, we remember who you are!), it's kind of hard to count our first three months since we didn't have any business to count. As clear as mud, isn't it? In any event, it has sped by so fast! And, for good reason -- all our wonderful guests! We've met so many interesting people, from all walks of life, and look forward to meeting many more. It's the best part of being in this business (2nd is cooking, hands down!). We've also enjoyed a number of return guests already, which is extra exciting because it's like seeing old friends again! It's so much fun to see those familiar faces at the door and we hope to see more again soon. So, in celebration of our anniversary, we want to say, "Thanks" by offering any return guest a little gift back. It's good for only a limited time, so check it out now! Canandaigua Candlelight Tour

Lucky to participate in the Seventh District Federation Garden Club of New York State Candlelight Tour held this year in Canandaigua, we were one of seven historic homes decorated with fresh greens and flowers for the December 7 event. Approximately 650 people toured our home, some waiting 45 minutes in the bitter cold wind to just get in. Beautiful decorations provided by the Bloomfield Garden Club were found in every room and admired by many. It was great to hear all the oohs and aahs, not only about the wonderful festive decor, but also to see people enjoy our home and to hear the story of our renovation. It was exciting to have so many see our beautiful home all decked out for the holidays! (Got some great ideas for next year too!) Pictures to come soon!

Vow Renewal Time!!!

We were honored to be selected as the little romantic getaway place for a 15-year wedding anniversary vow renewal! S & S from Vermont -- who happen to run a little B&B of their own -- renew their vows every five years, and this time it was HIS turn to plan the event and surprise HER by going somewhere far enough away but not too far. Well, although it didn't end up being a surprise, everything else went according to plan! We even have a licensed minister right down the street who we could enlist for the special occasion. (Isn't that handy?) Anyway, we just hope they felt as touched by their simple ceremony as we were.

Morning Show Debut!

We were fortunate enough to be part of a Rochester area morning news show, highlighting Bed and Breakfasts in the Finger Lakes area. Other than the ungodly hour of being televised (live, no less) at 5:30 a.m., it was actually a lot of fun! Yes, some of us were nervous at the idea of being on live TV for the first time, but Holly Maynard (our very personable host) soon put us at ease. It was a fast three minutes in front of lights and camera, but we were local stars in our own right and we got to show the greater Rochester area a little of ourselves.
